Why choose Continental Tyres?

Developed in Germany, tested by experts and approved by vehicle manufacturers, Continental are a safe choice for your vehicle.

Here’s the reasons why:

  • Continental tyres come fitted to one in three new cars built in Europe. The tyres go through years of development with the vehicle manufacturer and thousands of miles of testing – so if the car makers trust them you can too.
  • Continental deliver award-winning tyres that meet more demands than the EU tyre label. While the label tells you the legal minimum, there’s a lot more to tyres that matter - they're tested and proven by independent experts
  • Continental Tyres are developed in their world-leading braking test facility. It’s the first of its kind, and means you can rely on the tyres to be tested to make sure you’ll be safe - so you can have confidence they'll perform To see our full range of Continental tyres Click here

Continental tyres for all weather conditions

We know that tyres need to deliver safety in all weather conditions. Continental produce a range of tyres that you can count on no matter the weather.

Continental tyres: Wet weather performance

While we’d love to live in a climate that’s hot all year round it’s simply not the case in the UK. Continental Tyres are developed to work most effectively in the wet conditions we’re used to. The tyres are tested above and beyond to make sure that when it’s wet you can still rely on the tyre to stop, and fast!

Continental winter tyres: The facts

When it comes to winter, the experts at Continental have developed an award-winning range of winter tyres that perform during the colder months, when a standard tyre loses performance due to the cold temperatures outside.

It doesn't have to snow for a winter tyre to perform. As long as the temperature is below 7 Celsius a winter tyre will deliver shorter braking distances than a standard (summer) tyre.

More than tyres #getyourgrip

Continental is more than just tyres and that’s evident in their partnership with adidas. Since 2010 they’ve been working with adidas to provide the exterior soles for a number of their running and outdoor shoes like the Ultra Boost, Supernova, Adizero and Terrex.

Continental rubber gives the trainers up to 30 per cent more grip than other soles, so it’s no coincidence that since 2010 three men’s marathon world records have been broken using their technology.

Safety is at the heart of Continental

Aside from developing award-winning car tyres, Continental is an automotive business – supplying components to many of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers.

Continental’s global mission is to achieve ‘Vision Zero’ - a world with zero accidents, injuries or fatalities on the road. It’s an ambitious goal the business has set itself. And for good reasons. Only Continental knows the entire braking process in every detail – from pedal to tyre. Apart from its innovative tyre products, the Continental Automotive Group has already developed game-changing safety technologies that can be found in most of today's modern cars: ABS, ESC and EBA, to name just a few. And this is only the beginning. With the on-going rise and evolution of the intelligent car, there’s more potential than ever to reach Vision Zero.

The vision aims to address all those active on our roads, from drivers and passengers, to fleet operators, to safety bodies and cyclists. And through working with Global NCAP and other partners, Continental are already working to increase awareness of how vehicle technologies can help to increase safety for all road users. But it all starts with investing in safe car tyres, the only contact your vehicle has with the road.
